- Engagement rate — comments, saves, and shares relative to your follower count matter more than raw numbers
- Content quality — clear video and audio, well-lit, watchable — not professional, but not poor quality either
- Account activity — a recently active account with consistent posting looks better than a dormant one reactivated for the application
- Audience authenticity — accounts with obvious follower-buying patterns are rejected
Amazon wants creators who already talk about products naturally — not creators who want to start talking about products for commission.
How to Strengthen Your Application
Before applying, spend 2–4 weeks posting product-focused content on your strongest platform. Reviews, unboxings, "what I use daily," and recommendation posts all signal to Amazon that you are already in the product content space. You do not need to manufacture a new persona — lean into products you already use and film content around them.

YouTube is generally considered the most reliable approval path because long-form review content scores well against Amazon's evaluation criteria. A YouTube channel with 20–30 genuine product reviews and a few thousand views can be more effective than a TikTok account with more followers but lower product-relevance.
